Trivon AG, a Swiss based telecom holding company was formed in September 2004 by a team of senior international telecom experts and its subsidiaries started providing internet-access services in several Russian regions, a few months later. In 2007, Trivon acquired a telecommunication group holding licenses for the provision of broadband Internet and voice services. The group possesses all required frequency resources for WiMAX-based services in 32 Russian regions covering Moscow, St. Petersburg and the 20 largest cities in Russia. In detail, Trivon’s licenses cover the following 32 regions: Moscow city, Moscow region, St.Petersburg city, St. Petersburg region, Chelyabinsk, Tymen, Ekaterinburg, Ufa, Perm, Kazan, N.Novgorod, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Samara, Orenburg, Ulianovsk, Saratov, Penza, Murmansk, Arkhangelck, Kaliningrad, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk, Barnaul, Omsk, Kemerovo, Belgorod, Voronezh and Ryazan.
TRIVON Group’s purpose is the creation of a leading broadband operator servicing mainly the residential and SME sector in major emerging markets. Special emphasis is given to those regions, which are still underserved and have a strong growth potential. The geographic focus is concentrated on the CIS, Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
Additionally to the international experience contributed by Trivon’s shareholders, partners and management, Trivon strongly believes in the local knowledge of the market it enters. It therefore pursues local partnerships and empowers local management teams.
